Nose
At first musty, closed and not giving a lot away yet besides some red fruits and old style sherry influences. After some time in the glass a truly classic old style sherried maturation reveals. Dried dates and plumbs with rum raisins. Old cigar boxes, autumn forest, rooibos tea, dark oiled oak furniture, star anise and licorice.
Mouth/Palate
Lively palate after (almost) 30 years inside the cask. It’s quite a characterful and spicy taste. Various spices like pepper and chili. Also black tea
Finish
In the medium length finish it all of a sudden gets more sweet, gentle and rounded again. Baker’s cream, mild spices and a whiff of tea.
