Nose
Soft fudge being melted with butter, fresh grinded wheat on a hot summersday. Deep and fragrant honey. Also ever walked in summertime on a meadow with flowers? Some oranges. Creme brulee with a slighty heated sugar topping. Baked apples with a little cognac in it. Oil and aniseed.
Mouth/Palate
A nice warming hot caramel core out of a baked cake right out the oven. The almost 55% alcohol isn't very noticeable, this won't do well with other at that level. It stays creamy and thick with a dose of spicy vanilla, carawayseed, apples and powder sugar. More oranges and dried fruits in the end.
Finish
A whisky with a complete journey. When I first met this one, I felt it was rather closed and it didn't do a lot. It was very malty and a bit weird but I expected more from a rather old one.
