Nose
Dusty wood. Yellow apples, candle wax, some brass. Then freshly peeled mandarins. A touch of hairspray. Dry earth, mint, Earl Gray tea with lemon. Orange jelly on burnt toast.
Mouth/Palate
Oily, spicy. Nectarines. Black pepper. Blood oranges. Exotic herbs and spices. Some curry. Olive oil. Creamy dark chocolate, dark wood, old stone wall, some incense.
Finish
The finish is more on tart oak, some menthol, some pepper, surprisingly dry, the oak is very robust, rustic oak, almost sour. The whisky looks so much older. Then even some tobacco and a hint of smoke from the wood. After some time, the mouth still feels occupied, but the aroma does not last as long.
