Nose
Warming, sweet and aromatic with notes of oranges and orange blossoms at first nosing. Later on some cardboard is coming up plus whiffs of toffee. The aromas are not very intensive and there is a lot of alcohol but overall the nose is pleasant. Surprisingly I do not smell any obvious sherry notes despite of the sherry finish.
Mouth/Palate
Powerful with lots of warming alcohol and the aroma of strong black tea at first mouthfeel. Later on I am tasting the aromas of caramel, oranges and dark honey as well as malty notes. Tastes very good - nothing cardboardy at all.
Finish
Long and warming with more honey coming up. Leaves a slightly velvety mouthfeeling behind.
